- Wardrobe data: Photos of your clothing items, item details (category, color, brand, season, price), and outfit combinations you create.
- Social content: Posts, comments, likes, and other interactions you make within the FitCheck community.
Information Collected Automatically
- Device information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
- Usage data: How you interact with the app, features used, time spent, and navigation patterns.
- Location data: Approximate location (city-level) when you grant permission, used for weather-based outfit suggestions.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account and wardrobe
- Provide AI-powered outfit suggestions and style recommendations
- Calculate your sustainability score and cost-per-wear analytics
- Deliver weather-based clothing recommendations
- Enable social features like sharing outfits and following other users
- Improve and develop our AI models and app features
- Send you notifications about outfit suggestions, weather alerts, and community activity
- Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries
3. Photos & Wardrobe Data
🌱 Your wardrobe data belongs to you. We never sell your photos or wardrobe information to third parties. Your clothing photos are processed securely and stored with encryption.
- Photo processing: When you upload a photo, our AI detects the category, color, and season suitability. This processing happens securely and the original photo is stored encrypted.
- Auto-categorization: Our AI analyzes your photos to suggest categories, colors, and tags. You can always override these suggestions.
- Photo deletion: When you delete an item from your wardrobe, the associated photo and all related data are permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.
4. AI Stylist Features
The AI Stylist uses your wardrobe data, location/weather, and stated preferences to generate outfit suggestions. Here's how we handle that data:
- Input data: Your wardrobe items, occasion selection, mood preferences, and local weather data are used as inputs for AI generation.
- Output: Generated outfit suggestions are specific to your wardrobe and are not shared with other users unless you choose to share them.
- Model training: We do not use your personal wardrobe data or photos to train external AI models. Any improvements to our AI are based on aggregated, anonymized patterns.
- Generations limit: Free accounts receive a limited number of AI generations per day. Supporter accounts receive unlimited generations.
5. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these circumstances:
- Service providers: We use Supabase for authentication and data storage, and select API providers for weather and AI services. These providers process your data only as instructed by us.
- Community features: When you post to the community, your display name, outfit photos, and captions are visible to other users as you intend.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, regulation, or legal process.
- Safety: We may share information to protect the rights, property, or safety of FitCheck, our users, or the public.
6. Data Storage & Security
- Encryption: All data in transit is encrypted using TLS. Stored data is encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption.
- Authentication: We use Supabase Auth with secure password hashing and session management.
- Data retention: We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete all associated data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain certain information.
- International transfers: Your data may be processed and stored on servers outside your country of residence. By using FitCheck, you consent to such transfers.
7. Your Rights & Choices
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Update or correct your account information at any time through the app.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data. This action is irreversible.
- Data export: Download your wardrobe data, outfit history, and account information in a machine-readable format.
- Notifications: Control which push notifications you receive through app settings.
- Location: Grant or revoke location access at any time through your device settings.
- Camera: Grant or revoke camera access at any time through your device settings.
8. Children's Privacy
FitCheck is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will notify you by:
- Posting the updated policy on this page with a revised "Effective" date
- Sending an in-app notification for material changes
- Sending an email notification for significant changes that affect how we handle your data
